How to rent a property through Haven Rentals
- Find a suitable property by conducting a property search online
- View property from the street only (Please respect the current tenants by not entering onto any property)
- Contact us to make an appointment to view the property inside
- If you do not live in Nelson, have someone view the property on your behalf. If this is not possible contact us by email
How to make a Tenancy Application
- All properties are rented on an Application basis – not “first in first served”
- Complete the tenancy application - (Click here to view and print the PDF of this document)
- Provide either copies of written references or contact names and phone numbers
- Provide a copy of an acceptable form of Identification
- Your application will be assessed by the property manager and then presented to the Landlord for a decision
- You will subsequently be advised if your application is successful or not
- Unfortunately not all applications are successful, but this does not mean your application will not be successful for an alternative property.
Successful Application and completing the paperwork
- An appointment will be made for you to complete & sign the tenancy agreement
- If you do not live in Nelson, this can be done by facsimile or email
- At this time payment will be required
